• when you receive your card, be sure to sign your name in the signature space
• watch out for your card and never leave it unattended
• after each payment, make sure you get the card back from seller
• check statement of purchase, including the amount
• check statement of costs, compare to your bills
• never write down your PIN – memorize it
• never reveal your PIN; no one from a financial institution, the police or merchants should ask you for your PIN number, you are the only one that needs to know it
• when changing a PIN, avoid the obvious, such as a phone number or date of birth
• when entering your PIN at ATM machine cover the keyboard by your hand
• if you notice anything unusual on the ATM, do not use it, report it to the Bank
• use a free service for online 3D Secure payments
• buy via safe and well-known websites

Other precautions:

• do not reply to emails or phone calls which are asking for your personal information, passwords, card numbers, PINs etc.
• KABA will never request any personal information, passwords, card numbers, PINs, balance of account, safety questions etc., by email
• if you get a suspicious email content, prompting you confidential information about cards, IMMEDIATELY inform us on the free number 0800 417 336 or email karticno@kaba.hr
• do not leave cards and other documents in the car
• notify us promptly of a change of address or other personal data
• if you travel, write down the number for reporting card loss

In case of card loss, immediately inform the Bank by phone 0800 417 336 and on non-working days contact EGCP Center for cards, by phone + 385 (0) 1 3078 699.  It is necessary to visit the Bank to regulate status of the card.
